Secure Shipping Insurance Policy

Overview

At CheapTshirtUSA, we strive to ensure that every order is delivered safely and efficiently. To provide additional protection for our customers, we offer an optional Secure Shipping Insurance service during checkout. This policy explains our responsibilities, your responsibilities, and the coverage available through Secure Shipping Insurance.

Responsibility for Delivered Packages

Once a shipment is marked as "Delivered" by the shipping carrier and delivery confirmation is provided, responsibility for the package transfers to the customer.

CheapTshirtUSA is not responsible for packages that are reported as lost, missing, misplaced, stolen, or damaged after the carrier has confirmed delivery to the shipping address provided at checkout.

Carrier Delivery Practices

Please be aware that many shipping carriers, including UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other delivery providers, may:

  • Leave packages at the front door, porch, lobby, mailroom, or other designated delivery location.
  • Deliver packages without ringing the doorbell or obtaining a signature.
  • Deliver packages to apartment offices, reception desks, parcel lockers, or secure mail areas.
  • Provide photo delivery confirmation as proof of delivery.

Because delivery practices vary by carrier and location, customers are encouraged to monitor tracking information closely and retrieve packages promptly after delivery.

Secure Shipping Insurance

During checkout, customers are offered the option to purchase Secure Shipping Insurance for an additional fee.

Secure Shipping Insurance provides protection against:

  • Lost packages during transit
  • Damaged shipments during transit
  • Packages confirmed by the carrier as lost
  • Verified cases of package theft after delivery, subject to claim review and approval

Coverage is limited to the value of the products purchased and does not include expedited shipping charges unless otherwise approved.

Orders Without Secure Shipping Insurance

If Secure Shipping Insurance is not purchased during checkout, the shipment will not be covered for loss, theft, or damage claims beyond the carrier's standard liability provisions.

For uninsured shipments:

  • CheapTshirtUSA is not obligated to replace, refund, or reship orders that are marked as delivered by the carrier.
  • Claims for stolen, missing, or misplaced packages after confirmed delivery are the customer's responsibility.
  • Any assistance provided by CheapTshirtUSA is offered solely as a courtesy and does not guarantee reimbursement or replacement.

Filing a Secure Shipping Insurance Claim

Customers with Secure Shipping Insurance must report any issue within 3 calendar days of the carrier's delivery date.

To process a claim, we may require:

  • Order number
  • Delivery address
  • Description of the issue
  • Carrier tracking number
  • Photos of damaged items (if applicable)
  • Police report or theft report (if applicable)
  • Any documentation requested by the insurance provider

Failure to provide requested documentation may result in denial of the claim.

Assistance With Carrier Investigations

If a package is reported as missing or stolen, we may request that the customer first contact the shipping carrier directly.

Customers may be required to provide:

  • Proof of communication with the carrier
  • Carrier case or investigation number
  • Delivery confirmation details
  • Delivery photos or GPS delivery records (if available)

Once this information is received, CheapTshirtUSA may assist in communicating with the carrier when appropriate.

Preventing Package Theft

We recommend the following best practices to reduce the risk of package theft:

  • Monitor shipment tracking regularly.
  • Retrieve delivered packages as soon as possible.
  • Ship to a business address when available.
  • Use a secure parcel locker or package receiving service.
  • Request signature confirmation when available.
  • Purchase Secure Shipping Insurance for additional protection.

Limitations of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • CheapTshirtUSA shall not be liable for packages lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged after confirmed delivery unless Secure Shipping Insurance was purchased and the claim is approved.
  • Carrier delivery confirmation, GPS records, photo evidence, or signature records shall constitute proof of delivery.
  • Any replacement, refund, or store credit issued for uninsured shipments is provided solely at the discretion of CheapTshirtUSA and does not establish a precedent for future claims.
